The vast and colourful carpets of roses in the mountains of Ecuador and Colombia have inspired Emiria, Rosita's founder, and her family to achieve their dream of sharing the beauty of these amazing flowers with the rest of the world. And that is how Rosita Flowers began.
In days gone by, enthusiastic youths rode their bikes to the airport in order to transport the flowers for export. Nowadays, Colombia and Ecuador are amongst the biggest export countries of roses in the world and the best when it comes to quality and head size.
In the case of this family-run business Rosita Flowers, we put much love and care into every part of the process of the roses from cultivation and harvesting, to export and sales. It allows us to ensure the highest standards of quality and follow a strict fare trade system which is aligned with our values.
At Rosita Flowers we care about the flowers of tomorrow, which is why we don't use any plastic in any of our floral packaging. Instead we use a bio-degradable alternative called cellophane which is made of regenerated cellulose.
